Summary China says peace talks only solution to Afghan problem, ready to play cooperative, constructive role
BEIJING: (Dunya News) – China has on Saturday admired Pakistan’s role in Afghan peace process. It says that the peace talks are the only way to find a solution for Afghanistan issue and China is ready to play a cooperative and constructive role in this regard, reported Dunya News.
According to a statement issued by Chinese Foreign Office (FO), China completely backs the reconciliation process among Afghan leaders. China also praised the role played by Pakistan for peace in Afghanistan and said that peace talks are the only way to find a solution of the Afghan problem.
The statements said that China has always encouraged talks between the Afghanistan government and the Taliban. Chinese FO Spokesperson said that China hoped all the stakeholders in the peace process will focus the right path. China expressed readiness to play a constructive and cooperative role for peace in Afghanistan with all the stakeholders.
