ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Urdu University’s (FUU) Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal’s dismissal from service has been recommended by the university senate on Saturday after corruption charges were proved.

The university senate has recommended to forward the case to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The university board held meeting in the capital which was headed by Deputy Chairman Javed Ashraf. The meeting discussed the corruption done on Dr Iqbal’s part. The participants were briefed that Federal Shariat Court’s (FSC) former judge Justice Hazikul Kheri held hearing of the case and the crime was proved.

The university senate has demanded the FUU Chancellor to dismiss Dr Iqbal without delay. The participants of the meeting also demanded Dr Iqbal’s arrest.
