Summary Pakistan ambassador to UAE confirmed the arrest
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prominent anchorperson Moeed Pirzada was arrested by Abu Dhabi police on August 4, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Pirzada was visiting ailing father when he was taken into custody. The reason for arrest and charges could not be ascertained as yet but reports suggested he was arrested over family issue.
The situation is still unclear because of the weekend. Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE Asif Durrani confirmed the arrest and said the Embassy was in contact with the Emirates officials. He further said that he is acquiring more information about it.
