KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday has ordered authorities concerned to destroy encroachments alongside nullahs within 15 days.
The court has warned the officials of legal proceedings in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in case they fail to comply with the order.
Justice Irfan Saadat held hearing of an anti-encroachment plea.
Petitioner, Rana Faizul Hassan said that the provincial government has not complied with the SHC’s previous orders regarding the matter despite allocation of crores of rupees annually.
The court ordered the authorities to file a reply explaining the reasons for deferring court orders in 2013 and 2014. The SHC also warned officials of registration of cases in NAB if they do not clear encroachments within 15 days.
