LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Resolutions condemning Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s statements have on Monday been submitted in Punjab, Sindh and Azad Kashmir assemblies. Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has told his 2 ministers from MQM to either disown Altaf’s statements or resign from the cabinet within 72 hours, reported Dunya News.

Altaf Hussain’s provocative statements against Pakistan army are being condemned throughout the country. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) submitted the resolutions condemning his statements in Punjab and Sindh assemblies.

The resolution in Sindh Assembly was submitted by MPA Samar Ali Khan. Talking to media, Samar said that Altaf Hussain’s statements against the Pakistan army are condemnable and not stopping him from such actions reflects the incompetence of the federal government.

In Punjab Assembly, the resolution was submitted by Opposition Leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed. It demanded bringing Altaf Hussain back to Pakistan with the help of Interpol and get a treason case registered against him.

In Azad Kashmir’s Legislative Assembly, the resolution was submitted by Finance Minister Chaudhry Latif Akbar. Announcing rallies against Altaf Hussain from Thursday, Prime Minister Abdul Majeed ordered the 2 MQM ministers of his cabinet to either disown Altaf’s statements or resign from the cabinet.
