MULTAN (Dunya News) – Preparations of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have entered last phase regarding holding of local body (LB) elections.
District Multan has been divided into 185 union councils and 1,110 wards. Different potential candidates are striving for tickets and securing win.
Four tehsils of Multan, City, Saddar, Shujabad and Jalalpur jhave been divided into 185 union councils. Multan corporation has 68 whereas district council has 117 union councils.
Shujabad and Jalalpur corporations have also been divided into 12 wards each. The total number of voters in Multan is at least 2,113,892.
