Summary About a dozen people were injured in the incidents
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Heavy rains in various parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have claimed at least 20 lives while another ten including children got injured, Dunya News reported.
According to details, heavy rains in both provinces brought mourning to several houses after at least twenty died in various rain related incidents including roof collapsing and electrocution.
A roof collapsed in Shorkot Gilgasht Colony, killing brother and sister. In another incident that took place in Pakpattan, a roof collapse near old vegetable market, bringing death to two girls and their mother while critically wounding head of the household.
In other incidents in Alahabad and Burewala, roof collapsing claimed two lives.
One person died after rain caused another roof to collapse in Karak. Another individual died due to roof collapse in Vihari. Two children also got injured in the incident.
Rains collapsed roofs of several houses in Bhakkar and Mianwali as well in which at least five people were injured.
Another two individuals got injured after heavy rain caused roof to collapse at Tariq bin Zyad colony area of Sahiwal.
