Summary Amin Faheem and Hamza Shahbaz are among prominent members that have been absent

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – De-seating of members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members faces an issue of dual standards as members from various political parties have not shown up in Assembly proceedings as well yet no action has been taken against them so far.

According to the documents obtained by Dunya News, members of National that have remained absent for more than 40 days of proceedings include members from Pakisan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) as well.

Amin Faheem and Hamza Shahbaz are among prominent members that have been absent above the stipulated 40 days. Alizay Iqbal Haider, Mir Munawar Talpur and Ali Muhammad Mehr have also not been ‘sighted’ anywhere near the Assembly in the recent past.

It is pertinent to mention here that these PPP and PML-N members have not even submitted an application for leave and have been getting their pay check regularly yet no action has been taken to de-seat them from parliament.
