Summary LB polls in Islamabad would be held on parties' basis, says Interior Minister
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday has said that the government accepts all recommendations of the opposition regarding holding of local body (LB) elections in the capital.
He expressed these views while addressing participants of Senate.
It is not possible that framework of holding LB polls in the capital is not there. He said that the government accepts all recommendations of the Senate over bill. LB polls are need of the entire country. Every political party has a consensus over holding of LB elections, he added.
Nisar said that LB polls in Islamabad would be held on parties’ basis.
