Summary Traders announced the nationwide strike over withholding tax as talks with Chairman FBR failed
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – President Pakistan Union of Traders Ajmal Baloch on Monday announced to go on nationwide strike from August 1 as traders’ negotiations with the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on withholding tax failed, reported Dunya News.
Talking to media, Ajmal Baloch said that the talks with the Chairman FBR have failed and there will be no talks with the government now on any issue.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has invited the traders for talks again but Ajmal Baloch rejected the invitation saying that there will be no talks unless the government completely withdraws the tax.
