KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rangers on Friday raided the restaurant of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ali Raza Abidi and arrested atleast five individuals, Dunya News reported.
Rangers also took all the record of the restaurant and Ali Raza Abidi’s cousin with them who was released later.
MQM member stated that he is ready to surrender if Rangers want to arrest him.
The detainees were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
MQM Rabita Copmmittee has strongly condemned the arrests whereas MQM’s leader Nasreen Jaleel has said that a resolution will be submitted against the incident in the National Assembly.
On the other hand, police detained as many as five people during operation in various areas of Karachi.
One was arrested in raid at Ayesha Manzil’s area. Police state that the suspect is involved in firing incidents on officials in Orangi Town.
Besides this, a drug dealer Farosh Noorullah was detained in wounded condition after shootout from Orangi Town. Heavy amount of arms and drugs have also been confiscated from the possession of the suspect.
Furthermore, three suspects were detained from Sohrab Goth Machar Colony after police encounter.
