No pressure on Sindh govt regarding Rangers: Qaim Ali Shah

GARHI KHUDA BUX: (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has on Saturday said that there is no pressure on Sindh government regarding Rangers. He said that the bill on the powers of the Rangers and one-year extension will be approved by the Sindh Assembly, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media after offering Eid prayer and visit to Benazir Bhutto’s shrine in Garhi Khuda Bux along with Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani and other MPAs, Qaim Ali Shah said that the transfer postings in Sindh government were done in order to address the corruption complaints and they will continue in future as well.

CM Sindh said that the police and Rangers released several of the arrested due to lack of evidence and got many of them convicted with the help of evidence as well. He said that hiring or firing of the officers is not Apex committee’s job. “Apex committee works for keeping law and order only”, he said.

Moreover, Qaim Ali Shah said that some people are doing propaganda to portray a negative image of the Rangers.
