Summary Rangers arrested MQM workers including Kaif-ul-Wara, Qamar Mansoor from Nine-Zero last night

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Rangers on Friday released the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Kaif-ul-Wara who had been arrested last night from MQM headquarter Nine-Zero in a raid. Rangers had arrested several MQM workers in a raid at Nine-Zero last night including Kaif-ul-Wara and Qamar Mansoor. However, Kaif-ul-Wara has been released after 16-hour detention, reported Dunya News.

On the other hand, MQM has submitted a resolution against the raid at MQM headquarter in National Assembly. MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said that the attempts to isolate MQM will bring negative consequences.

Rangers raided MQM headquarter last night after sealing all the adjacent streets and searched the Khurshid Memorial Hall. They arrested Rabita Committee In-charge Kaif-ul-Wara, Qamar Mansoor, Azeem Farooqui and Sufiyan Yousaf long with several other MQM workers. Azeem Farooqui and Sufiyan Yousaf were released later on. Kaif-ul-Wara was also allowed to leave after 16 hours.

MQM workers came on the streets after the raid on Nine-Zero and raised slogans.

Addressing the press conference after the raid, Farooq Sattar said that the attempts to isolated MQM will backfire.

Meanwhile, DG Rangers Bilal Akhtar said that the list of those making provocative speeches has been prepared and more arrests may also be made.

Rangers also raided MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi’s house in Gulshan Iqbal but he wasn’t present at his house at that time.

Three MQM workers were arrested by the Rangers from Model Colony while 2 officials were arrested from Bagh Korangi.
