Court issues robkar for Ayyan Ali's release

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Rawalpindi’s banking court judge Sabir Sultan on Thursday has issued a robkar for the release of supermodel Ayyan Ali in currency smuggling case, Dunya News reported.

Ayyan Ali’s legal team headed by her counsel Khurram Latif Khosa appeared before the court and submitted two surety bonds worth Rs5 lac each.

The judge after reviewing the bonds directed to present Ayyan’s guarantors Muhammad Nawaz and Shaukat Bhatti before the court.

On judge’s inquiry Shaukat Bhatti told the court that he has given Ayyan Ali’s guarantee in the case. Court asked him about the residential area of the model on which Shaukat replied that Ayyan is a resident of Gojar Khan.

Judge Sabir Sultan remarked that in court records Ayyan is mentioned as a resident of Karachi and questioned that whether both the men are hired guarantors.

Khurram Latif Khosa requested the court to release Ayyan on immediate basis.

In response, the judge stated that the robkar have been signed and the supermodel will be released once the jail authorities get the court letter.

As the proceedings concluded, a court official carrying the robkar left for Adiala jail alongwith Ayyan’s legal team.
