 KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least three more cases have been registered against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in Karachi under various sections including Anti-Terrorism Act and Telegraph Act, raising the total number of cases against him across the country to over hundred.

According to details, the series of registration of cases against Altaf Hussain and other MQM leaders after his provocative statements is ongoing. Those booked in First Information Report (FIR) filed in Saidu Sharif station of Swat district also include Farooq Sattar and Wasay Jalil.

The FIR registered in Gaddap station also names Rauf Siddiqui and seventeen other people. Another four cases have been registered in Islamabad, four in Lahore and one in Rawalpindi. The RA Bazar station has been reserved to accept such cases.

At least seven fresh cases have been registered in various police stations of Faisalabad as well whereas ten FIRs were filed in the police stations of Gujranwala and Daska.

At least two writs were also filed in Gujranwala Session Court and Hafizabad each. Another three cases were filed in Rahim Yar Khan, ten in Sargodha and four in Bhakkar.

FIRs against Altaf Hussain have also been registered in Joharabad, Sheikhupura, Toba Tek Sindh, Shah Kot, Chiniot, Gojra, Okara, Khushab and Jhelum.

Another five FIRs have been registered in Muzaffargarh, two in Multan and Rajanpur each whereas six each in Sahiwal, Chicha Watni and Attock. An FIR has been lodged in Ahmed Pur Sharqia as well.

Reportedly, Altaf Hussain has been named in FIRs registered in Quetta, Lora Lai, Chaman, Harnai and Pashin.

The FIRs and cases have been registered in Dera Bugti and Sui stations as well.

At least three FIRs are registered in Malakand while one each in Hangu, Kohat, Kirk and Abbottabad.
