Summary Arrests of militants has put the KP Police in banned outfits' target, says Durrani
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General (IG) Nasir Durrani on Wednesday has said that a formal request has been forwarded to the government for increase in police martyrs package.
He expressed these views while talking to the media after a sudden inspection of police checkpoints in Mohmand Agency and Khyber Agency.
The IG reached General Bus Terminal G T Road after completing the inspection. Upon finding him amidst them, the people started informing about issues they are facing.
He said that terror acts have deescalated in the province and people have shown trust in police. IG Durrani said that arrests of militants in large numbers and crippling of their network has put the KP Police in banned outfits’ target.
