ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Several cases were registered against chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain on Tuesday over inflammatory speech. The cases have been registered across the country in cities including Islamabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also submitted a resolution against MQM in Punjab Assembly, reported Dunya News.
4 cases have been registered against Altaf Hussain’s outburst against security agencies in police stations in Islamabad.
In Hyderabad, a person named Waheed registered the case in Fort police station.
In Jacobabad, 3 cases have been registered in as many police stations. All cases have been registered under section 153.
In Khairpur Mir, 2 cases were registered in 2 police stations in police stations Mirwah and Faiz Ganj.
In Dadu, police station Section A, 2 cases have been registered.
In Shikarpur, 3 cases have been registered against Altaf Hussain in various police stations.
2 FIRs have also been registered against Altaf Hussain in Larkana, Mirpur Khas and Sukkur.
In Badin, 3 cases have been registered while in Thatta, Ghotki and Tandowala one case each has been registered.
In Kazi and Mathi, FIR has also been registered against Altaf Hussain.
In provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta, 2 cases have been registered against Altaf Hussain in 2 police stations.
In Chaman, a FIR has been registered on the request of a resident.
In Jarma police station, Kohat, a case has been registered against Altaf Hussain.
3 cases have been registered in Karak in police stations as well.
In Skardu, city police station, FIR has been registered.
In Rahim Yar Khan, 3 cases have been registered in police stations.
In Lahore, Chairman Pakistan Zindabad party submitted an application in Old Anarkali police station.
In Rawalpindi, case was registered in R.A Bazaar by a person named Rana Riaz.
In Gujranwala district, cases have been registered in 26 police stations.
In Faislabad division, cases have been registered in 13 police stations against the MQM leader.
In Sargodha 9 cases have been registered, in Jhang 2, Bakkhar 4, Mianwali and Joharabad 5 cases have been registered.
The applicants have taken the stance that MQM chief’s speech is directed against Pakistan Army.
In Faislabad, session court has given go-ahead for hearing the case for filing application against the MQM chief. The said applicant is Chaudhary Shahid Rafique.
On the other hand, PTI has decided to move condemnatory resolution against the MQM chief in Punjab Assembly.
