Summary Rangers stopped Farooq Sattar while returning from the protest, allowed to go after probing

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday staged protests in various cities of the country including Karachi against the federal ministers’ remarks. Rangers also stopped MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar while returning from the protest and allowed him to go after asking some questions, reported Dunya News.

MQM staged protests against the statements by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif about MQM chief Altaf Hussain in various cities including Karachi. MQM MNAs, MPAs and workers protested outside Karachi Press Club.

Addressing the workers on this occasion, Dr. Farooq Sattar strongly condemned the statements by federal ministers. He said that conspiracies are being hatched for the last 37 years to distance Altaf Hussain from his lovers. He said that MQM has always stood by Pakistan army and will always do the same.

MQM leaders said that the differences between MQM and the security agencies are not without reason. They said that MQM supported the targeted operation against the criminals and still supports it but it should be unbiased.

At the end of the protest, Rangers stopped Dr. Farooq Sattar’s car and asked him questions. The workers were concerned after his car was stopped and there was almost a stampede situation created but the situation came to normal soon after Farooq Sattar was allowed to go.
