ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Tuesday said Pakistan welcomes the historic nuclear deal struck between Iran and the so called P5+1 countries United States (US), Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany.

In an interview, Aziz said Pakistan has always put a great emphasis on the need to resolve all disputes surrounding Iran through dialogue and negotiation.

He expressed the confidence that Iran would be able to integrate with regional and global markets well after the lifting of the economic embargos, adding that economically strengthened Iran would benefit other countries in the region including Pakistan.

Sartaj Aziz pointed how the economic sanctions had dramatically reduced bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran, adding that the lifting of the sanctions will revive the bilateral trade between the neighbouring nations.

He said there has already been a whopping demand in Iran of the Pakistani goods but the mode of payment has been a major obstacle which will essentially be removed following the lifting of the sanctions.

Aziz hoped the lifting of the sanctions will also facilitate progress on Pakistan-Iran Gas Pipeline project.
