Summary Government has reduced withholding tax from 0.6pc to 0.3pc earlier

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Traders Association announced a shutter down on August 5 to protest against the withholding tax on banking transactions, reported Dunya News on Monday.

All Pakistan Traders Association has announced that if government does not take back its decision to charge withholding tax on banking transactions then the association will hold country wide protest adding that traders do not accept government’s decision.

It is pertinent to mention that traders in Lahore had observed a shutter down in city on July 7 after which government lowered the withholding tax from 0.6 percent to 0.3 percent.
