Summary No power can eliminate MQM as long as it has 'faithful friends'
LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Saturday said that he has asked the Coordination Committee to build a memorial to pay homage to those workers who survived and braved prisons and tortures, Dunya News reported.
Addressing party workers who were recently freed from prisons, Altaf Hussain said that “brave, faithful and firm” friends are soul of the party, adding that no power can eliminate or even harm his party as long as it has ‘faithful friends’. He said normally a human being can bear torture and cruelty but the way MQM workers were insulted as well as physically tortured cannot be expressed in words.
MQM chief said that he has told the Raabta Committee to build a memorial site to pay tribute to those workers who have braved prison and torture so that their names could be remembered in the history .
