Summary Ziaullah Afridi was remanded in Ehtesab Commission’s custody for 13 days.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Mineral Development, Ziaullah Afridi was moved to Hayatabad Medical Complex on Saturday after his condition deteriorated during interrogation by the Ehtesab Commission, sources told.
Afridi has been accused of misusing his authority as Minister for Mineral Development and causing the exchequer losses worth billions of rupees.
Earlier on Friday, he was remanded in Ehtesab Commission’s custody for 13 days.
According to sources, Ziaullah Afridi suffered high blood pressure during interrogation process and he was moved to Hayatabad Medical Complex. Reportedly, he is also an asthma patient.
Doctors will conduct further tests before his treatment and there is strict security outside the ward where the minister has been admitted.
