ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Indian authorities on Tuesday have confirmed meeting between Narendra Modi and Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif in Russia after Indian PM expressed willingness.

The Indian authorities have informed Foreign Office (FO) today about the development. The meeting will be held on Modi’s wish.

PM Nawaz will raise the issue of Indian intelligence agency RAW s intervention in Pakistan.

Earlier, NDTV reported that the two leaders will meet in the Russian city of Ufa, on the sidelines of a summit of the Shanghai Coperation organisation. The meeting is set to take place on 10th of July.

Modi and Nawaz last met at the SAARC summit in Kathmandu last November, though they did not hold formal talks.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will lead the Pakistan delegation to the Meeting of the Heads of States Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Ufa on 9-10 July 2015.

SCO is an important organization founded in Shanghai in 2001. Its member-states include China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The SCO Heads of States Council (HSC) is the highest decision-making body of the Organization.
As an Observer State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Pakistan has been making substantive contribution to regional peace, security and development.
