Probe reveals involvement of female terror suspect in group behind Safoora bus carnage

Summary At least 45 people were killed in the terrorist attack on a bus in Safoora Chowrangi on May 13.

KARACHI (Web Desk) – In another development in the investigation of Safoora Chowrangi tragedy, authorities have revealed that a female terror suspect was also involved in the group behind May 13 attack on a bus carrying members of the Ismaili community, Dunya News reported.

At least 45 people, including women and children, were killed when around a half a dozen gunmen sprayed them with bullets inside the bus. 

Five suspects, Tahir Hussain Minhas, Saad Aziz, Hafiz Nasir, Muhammad Azhar Ishrat and Asadur Rehman, have already been arrested in connection with the case.

According to sources, a female terror suspect identified as Saadia is also involved in the group. She was tasked with organizing the Al-Qaeda network by inviting students to the organization.

Sources further revealed that Saadia is wife of a local Al-Qaeda commander and she used students of a private university as accomplices in the attack on civilian bus in Karachi.

The law enforcement agencies are conducting raids in Hyderabad and Karachi for her arrest.
