ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A joint investigation team (JIT) has been formed to probe the Gujranwala train accident which claimed lives of at least 19 people including Pakistan Army officials.
The joint investigation team, constituted on the direction of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, will submit its report in 72 hours.
The JIT consists of two top level Army officers and two officials from Pakistan Railways. The team will reach at the sight of the accident at 10:00 today. The JIT will record statements of injured assistant driver and guard of the train along with other eye-witnesses and submit its report within 72 hours.
