ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A petition on Thursday challenging Pakistan People’s Party’s Rehman Malik’s senatorship has been filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP).
The petition demands the court to bar Malik from attending Senate sessions and cancel his membership. Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi has filed the petition against the former federal minister.
The petition states that the SCP had earlier said Malik is not honest and righteous. It also states that Malik had not turned the benefits he took from the government from 2008 to 2102.
The petitioner has urged the court to bar Malik from attending committee meeting sessions also.
