ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Eid arrived earlier than expected for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of National Assembly as they got salary of 11 months amounting to Rs850,000 each despite absence from assembly, reported Dunya News.
National Assembly Secretariat has given salaries to the absent members of parliament belonging to PTI.
According to sources, PTI members have been given salaries for 11 months in lump sum payment.
The pay of the members had been withheld due to issues in auditing.
Sources from National Assembly Secretariat said that applications filed against PTI members for receiving pay while not coming to assemblies have not been declared void as the members have received their salaries. The voting on the matter, sources said, depends upon the discretion of Speaker National Assembly.
