Summary Court directed Amir Khan to submit bail bond worth one million rupees.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi on Monday approved bail plea of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Amir Khan, Dunya News reported.
The court had reserved verdict on Khan’s plea on Friday.
The court granted bail to the MQM leader and directed him to submit bail bond worth Rs1 million.
Amir Khan was also barred from leaving the country without court’s permission. The Ministry of Interior and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have been informed about the court’s decision.
He was arrested during Rangers raid on MQM headquarters Nine-Zero on March 11, 15. A case was registered against him at Azizabad Police Station for allegedly sheltering terrorists and involvement in target killings.
Talking to media outside the court, the MQM leader said he will soon be acquitted in the ‘baseless’ case. He said each and every person of Pakistan loves Altaf Hussain.
He said several elements are hatching conspiracies against his party however they are ready to face such challenges under Altaf Hussain’s leadership.
