FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Saturday has assured to have written a letter to the BBC over their recent report alleging Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) of receiving assistance from RAW in India, Dunya News reported.
While talking to the media after inspecting Ramazan Bazaar in Faisalabad, Abid Sher Ali stated that the accusations leveled against MQM are serious in a wake of which, the interior ministry has sought help from BBC.
He said that a joint investigation team would be formed so that the real facts can be unveiled.
Federal Minister further vowed to free Karachi from criminal activities as Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif is himself monitoring Karachi operation.
Talking about heatwave in Karachi, he accused Sindh government of not taking timely measures to halt load shedding. Abid Sher Ali reiterated that the government has ensured maximum supply of electricity during Ramazan as urban areas are getting 85 to 90 percent power while rural areas have been scheduled to be provided with 80 to 85 percent of electricity.
Criticising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, PML-N leader added that he does not care for the Karachiites as he was in London when the scorching heat was engulfing locals.
