Summary Six hours loadshedding in urban areas and eight hours in the rural areas is being carried on.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Power demand in the country has reached 19,000 MW whereas the shortfall maintains at 4000 MW which can increase with rising temperature, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
According to Ministry for Water and Power, production of electricity is 15,000 MW with six hours loadshedding in urban areas and eight hours in the rural areas.
Sources report that those areas where power theft is occurring and possess high proportion of line losses are undergoing even more long hours of loadshedding.
