ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Despite tall claims by the incumbent government regarding the interruption-free power supply during Ramazan, various areas across the country plunged into darkness at Sehr and Iftar, Dunya News reported on Sunday.

In Multan, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf’s (PTI) workers held a demonstration at MDA Chowk which was also attended by a huge number of citizens.
The protesters while holding banners, placards and hand fans chanted slogans against the government.

People burnt tyres and raised slogans against Wapda and government while protesting in Multan.
Prisoners chanted slogans while standing on the barracks when the transformer of the jail went out of order.
Various areas of Hyderabad which include Lateefabad, Paredabad, Pakka Qila, Gari Khata, Resham Gali and Shahi Bazaar are facing power cut from 4 a.m.
On the other hand, residents have to go through a black out on the third Ramazan also at Sehr time in Lahore and Karachi.
Due to technical faults, Lines area, Gulshan Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Federal-B area and Landhi including various other areas of Karachi went through prolonged power suspension.
K-electric authorities stated that teams have been formed to amend the faults.
In Lahore, loadshedding could not be prevented in the areas of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Mustafa Town, Thokar Niaz Baig and Shalimar, .
Protests are also underway in various cities against unannounced loadshedding which has created severe problems for the fasters.

Earlier in Peshawar’s area Armar, citizens besieged Wapda House in the leadership of Forest Minister and threw stones at the building and attacked the car of Prime Minister’s advisor .
Moreover, distressed by the prolonged spans of power outages, residents took to streets in protest against the government in Sukkur, Toba Tek Singh, Pangrio, Tahrparkar, Uch Sharif, Zhob, Larkana and other cities.
