KARACHI (Dunya News) - Rangers and police apprehended at least 20 suspects during targeted operations in different area of Karachi on Tuesday.
According to details, three members of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan were arrested by police after an encounter in Rizvia.
Police sources said that the arrested TTP members were identified as Shah Hussain, Anwar Hussain and Saddam and were involved in murder and bomb blast cases. Police also recovered arms and a hand grenade from their possession.
Two terrorists of a banned outfit were arrested from Mubarak Village area of Kimari Town. Sources said that the arrested militants had links with Indian agency RAW.
At least five activists of a political party were arrested from Korangi Crossing area by Rangers. Those who were arrested also included a local leader of the political party.
Rangers also conducted a raid in Liaquatabad area and arrested at least six suspects. In a separate raid a suspect involved in target killing of police officials was arrested from Bhangoria Goth area.
On the other hand, some unidentified persons opened fire in Sector-12 of Baldia Town and shot dead a police Sub-inspector Riaz and critically injured a passerby.
