ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar said on Tuesday that Asif Ali Zardari’s statements were very unreasonable and uncalled for. He said that former President is targeting national institutions to cover his own weakness, reported Dunya News.
Reacting to co-chairperson Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former President Asif Ali Zardari’s statements, Chaudhary Nisar said that PPP’s declining credibility is due to its past performance and not due to certain ‘establishment’ working against it.
Defending national instititutions, the Interior Minister said that it is condemnable to target those who have sacrificed lives for the defence of the country.
Earlier, Chaudhray Nisar said that Rangers’ presence in Karachi is a sign of confidence.
The federal minister said that peace was established in Karachi with the efforts of the police and Rangers. He said the DG Rangers did not say anything beyond the scope of law.
He said that no recommendation of replacing Governor Sindh is under consideration.
The Interior Minister said the cooperation with the British police in Imran Farooq murder case is ongoing and that the murderers will be brought to justice soon.
