Summary The party is announcing province-wide protests from today, says Sattar
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday has announced demonstration of protests in Sindh while a condemn resolution has been filed in the National Assembly (NA) against the language used by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif in the Parliament.
Rabita committee members Dr Farooq Sattar and Haider Abbas Rizvi have demanded the Prime Minister (PM) to clear the government and party policies regarding the matter. They also demanded PM Nawaz to order Asif to apologise for his behaviour.
The members put their demands forward in a press conference in Karachi.
Sattar said that the party is announcing province-wide protests from today against Defense Minister’s language. Asif used provocative and foul language, he added. Sattar said that this kind of language is against the two nation theory. The MQM leaders took offense of the fact that the minister used ‘fake mohajir’ to address the protesters in the Parliament.
Sattar said that calling people fake mohajir adds up to being prejudice. He demanded Asif to apologise to at least 5 crore mohajirs who feel insulted by this.
