KARACHI (Dunya News) - An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi has sent suspect arrested in Professor Waheed-ur-Rehman’s murder case on 14-day physical remand, Dunya News reported on Monday.
The suspect Sami-uz-Zaman was presented before the ATC where the investigating officer told the court that the accused has been detained from the university premises and use to sent messages of the professor’s murder.
The officer also stated that the suspect has confessed of forwarding the murder messages.
Moreover, the investigating officer also requested the court for 14-day physical remand of the suspect for interrogation, responding to which the judge approved the plea.
The court also ordered the police to present the accused for hearing on June 23.
The suspect wept bitterly throughout the hearing and kept on saying that he did not committed the murder.
