LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday has reserved verdict in appeals of at least 12 judges of Punjab district courts against forced retirement.

During the hearing, judges’ counsel said that the Article 10-A gives right to every citizen for a fair trial. No action could be taken against anybody without hearing both the sides, he added.

The counsel requested the court to annul the Civil Servant Act clause 12 in this case for conflict with the Constitution of Pakistan. The court reserved the verdict in the case.

This development came in after the administration committee of the LHC issued orders of forced retirements of as many as 12 judges a week ago.
