QUETTA (Dunya News) – Pashtoonabad Police on Friday has registered a case against unidentified culprits who gunned down as many as four police officials on June 11 whereas the Frontier Corps (FC) have arrested at least three banned outfit’s operatives during an operation in Turbat.
According to the FC spokesperson, a combined operation of security agencies was conducted on a tip-off in Naseerabad area. As many as three militants were arrested in the operation.
The arrested insurgents were involved in attacks on national installments and security forces.
However, the criminals have been shifted to an unidentified location for interrogation.
Earlier, unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on police vehicle in Quetta which killed an assistant sub inspector (ASI) among four policemen. The case has been registered at the Pashtoonabad Police Station under clauses of murder, attempted murder and terrorism.
On the other hand, the FC and police are carrying out search operations in different areas resultantly, as many as 24 suspects have been arrested until the filing of this report.
