Summary The students will be presented before a local court today
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A case on Wednesday has been registered at Aabpara Police Station against students involved in firing incident in Federal Urdu University.
The police conducted raids at university hostels and arrested as many as 40 students who will be presented before a court today for remand. However, the police failed to seize weapons used in the incident.
Sections of attempted murder, backing criminals, spreading fear, interference in government affairs and violation of Article 144 have been included in the case.
The students will be presented before a local court today.
On June 9, two groups clashed and exchanged fire in the university premises resultantly, at least 12 people were injured. Police and Rangers personnel reached the spot after learning about the news. The injured people were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Poly Clinic Hospital for treatment.
