Summary Resolution demands the government should form a parliamentary delegation over Myanmar issue
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Senate has on Tuesday unanimously adopted a resolution supporting the Rohingya Muslims and condemning the atrocities committed against the community. The resolution demanded that the government should form a parliamentary delegation over Myanmar issue, reported Dunya News.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed presented the resolution in the Senate session, chaired by Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani, against the genocide of the Rohingya Muslims. Resolution states that the government should take the Rongya issue to the International Court of Justice and raise this issue on international level after taking the global community and the United Nations (UN) on board.
The resolution also demands that the government should form a parliamentary delegation so that it can visit Myanmar and take up the issue with the authorities. It also suggests celebrating a solidarity day with the Rohingya Muslims on June 12 and Pakistan should express its anger over the genocide of the persecuted community.
