LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has on Tuesday said that the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, shouldn’t object to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that Pakistan is thankful to China who came to Pakistan’s help in the hour of need. “We’re proud of our friend”, CM Punjab said, reported Dunya News.
Addressing the seminar on CPEC held at CM House, Lahore, Shahbaz Sharif said that some people are raising fingers at the CPEC project but Pakistan must capitalize on this opportunity offered by China. CM said that new dimensions in Pak-China friendship were discovered during Chinese President’s recent visit to Pakistan.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong said while addressing the seminar that entire Pakistan will benefit from CPEC. “It is good that there is consensus on the project”, he said. He assured Pakistan of China’s help in curbing the terrorism in the country.
