KPK police was playing in someone else's hands instead of assisting polling staff: CEC

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – While hearing a case regarding mismanagement in recently held local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Election Commission (CEC) Sardar Raza on Tuesday remarked that KPK police was playing in someone else’s hand instead of assisting the polling staff.

He said the provincial authorities did not focus on law and order during the elections.

Sardar Raza said holding re-election is not child’s play and those demanding re-election will be given ‘proper treatment’.

He said only ECP is authorised to hold re-election .
