Islamabad: Political parties hold protests outside ECP office

Summary Army should be deployed to supervise the re-election, demanded protestors

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Political parties held protest against alleged rigging outside Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) office on Saturday, reported Dunya News.

Protestors from various political parties including Awami National Party (ANP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Ideological group) participated in the protest.

Protestors said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Idrees Khattak had done rigging in Jehangira.

The protestors demanded that election be held again in areas where rigging has taken place adding that Army should be deployed to supervise the re-election.
