Summary Imposition of additional taxes has added to their problems, say employees
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government employees on Saturday have termed the seven and a half percent pay raise which has been granted through the federal budget 2015-16 insufficient.
The employees are convinced that this is a mockery of salary raise by the government. The federal budget for the fiscal year 2015-16 has not only disappointed the civil citizens but also irked the government officials.
The officials said that this is the least raise government employees have got inclusive of past governments. They said that prices of utility items have increased and such a paltry raise is not enough. They also said that imposition of additional taxes has added to their problems.
The employees have demanded the government to give a raise of at least 20 percent to 25 percent. They further urged the government to put an end to the series of mini-budgets once the federal budget is announced.
