Summary Parliament has completed its two years but govt's performance is disappointing: Mehmood-ur-Rasheed
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Assembly s opposition leader Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed issued fact sheet on the performance of government on Friday in Lahore during a press conference in Punjab Assembly’s committee room. He said that parliament has completed its two years but government’s performance is disappointing.
Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said that 14 innocent people died in Model Town incident and rulers should not take Joint Investigation Team (JIT)’s report as ‘clean chit’ because people will never forgive them. He said that people of all classes are protesting on roads. The opposition leader said that Shehbaz Shareef should come to assembly and tell the nation about his government’s priorities because this is the court of Mughal kings. He said that the claims of good governance are just verbal promises.
Talking about the performance of Punjab police, he said that government spends 80 billion rupees each year on police but the crime rate is increasing continuously. Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said that the province is under the debt if 580 billion rupees which was 450 billion before the current government. He said that the poor performance of current government is increasing the problems if common man.
