Summary This caused a massive traffic jam at the entry points of the city

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The farmers’ protest going on for five hours at Multan Road’s Chohng area was reportedly fruitful as it ended after Punjab’s Law Minister Rana Sanaullah gave written assurances to accept all demands, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the police intercepted farmers marching to Lahore to put forth their demands and stopped them from entering Lahore, upon which, the demonstrators staged the protest right there.

Many of the farmers stated cooking right there by placing caldrons right on the roads. The series of demonstration stretched too far but the protestors remained determined that they will not move until their demands are met.

This caused a massive queuing up of vehicles and people were forced to stay in their vehicles through severe traffic jam.

The government budged finally and Rana Sanaullah arrived at the site and issued written assurances that the demands of the demonstrators will be met.

This sparked a hope among the protestors and therefore they ended the protest.
