PBA issues policy for journalists facing uncertainty

LAHORE (Dunya News) –Pakistan Broadcaster Association (PBA) has decided to step up its efforts to ensure the livelihood of journalists employed by BOL network by issuing a policy on Wednesday. PBA s efforts came ahead of Dunya News  initiative to offer jobs to the journalists, reported Dunya News.

Rallies were taken out in various cities to express solidarity with Dunya News’ efforts.

Dunya News initiative finally bore fruit as PBA issued a statement that employees whose livelihood is under threat at BOL television, after the ongoing crisis must be employeed.

According to PBA’s policy, employees who are leaving the organization must be employed in the some capacity for which an email has also been issued.
The applications can be sent at resumes@pba.org.

Dunya News is the first organization that has taken steps to provide job security to the leaving employees.

Dunya News’ decision to provide jobs to journalists has been praised from all quarters with many journalist organizations appreciating Dunya News’ efforts.
