Summary In Kohat, defeated candidates protested at Shuhada Chowk
ABBOTTABAD (Dunya News) – 3 party workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were killed amid clashes with workers of Pakisan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.
Protests raged all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over alleged rigging in KP local body elections.
A series of protests have been organized along the breadth of KP since May 30, when local body elections took place.
Harsh words were exchanged between workers of PTI and PML-N which soon turned into brawl.
PML-N workers fired upon PTI workers at Fountain Chowk, Abbotabbad resulting in 3 deaths along with injuring of 2 persons who have been transferred to a hospital.
Protests are also being held in KP as people are protesting against alleged rigging in local body elections.
In Kohat, defeated candidates protested at Shuhada Chowk.
In Mardan, candidates from various political parties took part in rally, demanding that the results be declared null and void.
In Haripur, candidates of local body elections protested outside District Coordination Officer’s (DCO) office.
