ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal has on Monday said that India has proved today that it cannot see its neighbors prosper. “She stands exposed”, he said. Federal Minister made it clear that Pakistan will not allow India’s attempts to influence the prosperity and stability of the region, reported Dunya News.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Ahsan Iqbal said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is connected to the Silk Route and India has no right to object to it. He said that India has nothing to do with the CPEC.
Ahsan Iqbal said that India wants to influence the stability and prosperity of the region. He said that India is suffering from ‘Pakistan-phobia’. He said that India should focus on its own problems.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) has snubbed Sushma Swaraj’s statements. Responding to her statement, FO said that Pakistan is determined to completed the economic corridor and that the entire region will benefit from this project.
It is pertinent to mention here that Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj had said earlier today that CPEC was unacceptable to India.
