ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Members of different political parties reached Bani Gala on Sunday night to demonstrate protest outside Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s residence against the alleged rigging in PK-15 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local body (LB) polls.
The protesters belong to the Union Council Shedo Jahangir in Nowshera. The protesters include members of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Awami National Party (ANP) and PTI.
They have leveled rigging allegation against Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Muhammad Idrees Khattak. The protesting members said that Khattak rigged the election in PK-15with the help of returning officers (ROs) and they have the proofs.
They vowed to not go back until they show the rigging proofs to PTI chairman. The protesters have demanded re-election in Nowshera under the supervision of the Pakistan Army.
Khan’s residential security was increased last night and the protesters were barred from moving forward.
