KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA (Dunya News) – Police and security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) have arrested more than 780 suspects during search operations in various areas of the province under National Action Plan (NAP), Dunya News reported on Sunday.
According to police spokesperson, search operations were conducted in various areas of KPK in which 780 suspects were detained including 46 Afghan refugees.
Besides this five were arrested for misuse of loudspeaker and four cases were registered against the violation of the laws whereas 572 houses, 266 hotels, 746 educational institutions, 61 bus stations, seven cinemas were searched during the operation.
Besides this the security of 270 sensitive areas was also reviewed.
On the other hand, Inspector General (IG) KPK has also formed vigilance teams to devise efficient security for local bodies election.
High police officers have been directed by IG KPK and assigned different regions to review the security of election procedure in the province.
